The reason I am creating my bucket list is so that I can learn about myself. I want to know that I have some goals, even if they are small goals. I just want to know that I’m not going to sit back and watch life pass me by.
I have had some interesting times in my short life. I enjoy the nights that I can look back and smile. I want to have stories that I can share with others someday. I want to have those “good ole college days,” and I want to be able to give my children advice. I love those moments that don’t seem like they will mean too much at the time, but you always seem to come back to.
I love to laugh. I love to laugh at myself, mostly. I also love to do things without worrying about what others think. Last night was probably one of those nights that I will remember at least for awhile.
I have been pretty down lately, and the Valentine’s festivities don’t help matters. I was determined to make this weekend great, and if this wasn’t the case, then I wasn’t going to remember it. Friday night was average. I was with good friends though, and it ended with nachos. I was determined to make Saturday better. I danced the night away literally. If you know me, then you know that I love to dance. Not just dance but dance badly. So, my friends and I danced on the stage at this bar. I was pulling out all of the stops: the lawnmower, my signature dance, rolling the dice, the shopping cart and others. This went on until the bar closed. I was not ready to go home, so my friends and I ventured to a party and danced some more. This is where I see this guy that I’ve had classes with and have chatted with outside of class, and we danced. This was the most fun I’ve had in a while. He made me forget about my problems for a while, and I laughed a lot. It ended with him walking me home and a hug. This made me realize that it is possible for me to have fun and keep it classy. I don’t need to be a hot mess to have a memorable night. I’m hoping that nights like this continue.
Now, I’m in this fantastic mood. All I needed was dancing, laughing, my friends, and a little attention.
